Tuesday Morning Sketches #438

Thanks for clicking by!  Today we have one of my favorite sketch revisits choice, it was #400 created by our ever so talented Debbie Foster.  Our prize this week is two cute little 2 x 2 background stamps (M1179 and M1178) and a CTMH Shimmer Brush.  I meant to make something with these so you can see how cute they are I will try to add that later.

In the mean time I hope you get to play along with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!  Good luck!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #436

Good Tuesday morning everyone, this weeks sketch is #391 revisited.  I just love revisiting the sketches how about you?  They're just way too good to not!  I got a little messy with attaching the ribbon trim so that is why the gems are where they are :).

As always if you have questions just ask in the comments and I hope you get to play along with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Tuesday Morning Sketches #435

Happy first TMS challenge of the year, it is #416 revisited. We have Janice to thank for this great sketch.  I had a lot of fun with it.

My first card was made with the January Stamp of the Month from Close to My Heart.  I used portions of the big stamp to make the little side tabs.  I colored with watercolor pencils and a shimmer brush - it is a speedy way to color, all I had to do is scribble a little everywhere I wanted color and then it spreads so easily with the shimmer brush.  Everything on that card is CTMH.

The lavender cards are made with some sweet paper that I picked up from my local little scrapbook store I made these two and so far one other but I think I have enough for one more so you will be seeing more of that in the next couple of weeks.  The sentiment stamps have been retired for a long time but the flower is current.

I decided to renew my "rule" of always stamping on the back of my cards, inside as well as a matching envelope.  If you would like to know anything just comment.  :)

I hope you got to start your year off with some fun and that the fun continues with playing along with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Scrapbooking goals - Winter Layout

Well Happy New Year!!

I hope your year is off to a great start.  I'm so happy to say that after almost a two year hiatus I'm starting to scrapbook again.  After 20 years of basically being a scrapbooking addict, I never in a million years would have thought that I would be saying that I haven't scrapbooked for that long, but time has really escaped me.  Life just changed so much with our move and I haven't had anyone to scrap with.  That is definitely proof that it is as much of a social activity as as it is a desire to create memory books for my family but something just wasn't "clicking" in me for a while.

I picked up a little batch of photos this week and they were the first I've had printed since we moved two and a half years ago.  I must say it felt GREAT to do that!!  I have missed this fun fun hobby and now I actually have a few new friends who are joining me this year.

I really keep my pages simple - otherwise I wouldn't get ANY done and that way my photos take center stage.  My approach this year is to basically do a layout for every season and when I need to add more I will make more pages or add some pocket pages.

I hope you join me this year in getting back on track if you were off track like me or re-assessing your scrapbooking goals to get re-organized and re-charged!  Ok so I did warn you I keep it simple so here's the proof.....

I hope to share in a few months when I have this year's pics on them.  I'm doing a set for each of my kid's family and then one for me.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
